Ensuring a positive balance in blood units
Blood donation
India needs at least 40,000 persons to donate blood every single day to meet its requirement. Our hospitals cannot function without the assurance of availability of blood and its components.
LifeBlood Council works to ensure that there is a positive balance of blood units in blood centres across the country at all times.
We organise blood donation drives, train personnel in blood centres, build registries of donors, liaise with government bodies and respond to calls from patients. Click the button below to know more about what is being done.
Prevention, care & cure
Thalassemia Major
India is home to an estimated 100,000 persons living with Thalassemia Major, a blood disorder. The disorder calls for life-long management with special therapy and periodic laboratory investigations. Most families in rural areas do not have the awareness nor the resources to combat this disorder.
LifeBlood Council works to bring widespread awareness, build infrastructure and offer support and guidance to patients with Thalassemia Major.
We open new day care centres and assist existing ones. We provide full support by way of medical investigation and provision of medical accessories. Click the button below to know more about what is being done.
