LifeBlood Council partners with SVP India to Strengthen Capacity and Scale National Impact
LifeBlood Council (LBC) announces a strategic capacity-building partnership with the Mumbai Chapter of Social Venture Partners India (SVP India), a leading philanthropic organisation focused on strengthening high-potential non-profits through governance, strategy, and long-term sustainability. This partnership has been formalised for a period of three years.
About SVP India
Social Venture Partners India is part of a global network operating across multiple countries, bringing together experienced professionals, engaged philanthropists and institutions committed to delivering measurable social impact.
SVP India works through a structured engagement model that combines catalytic funding with hands-on advisory support from Lead Partners and Associates, enabling partner organisations to build strong, scalable institutions.
Scope of Partnership
Under this partnership, SVP India will support LifeBlood Council across four key areas:
- Governance — Strengthening board structures, accountability frameworks, and institutional discipline
- Strategy — Refining programme priorities, building partnerships, and strengthening impact measurement
- Organisational Capacity — Building scalable systems across finance, operations and human resources
- Funding — Supporting structured outreach to CSR and institutional donors
Significance of the Partnership
This partnership represents a critical step in LifeBlood Council’s institutional journey, enabling a transition from a mission-led initiative to a professionally governed and execution-focused organisation capable of scaling impact.
SVP India’s engagement will strengthen LBC’s ability to design, implement and sustain large-scale programmes across Thalassemia prevention, care and cure, while advancing the national objective of Blood Adequacy.
The partnership will also accelerate the development of key ecosystem infrastructure such as Rare Blood Registries and Stem Cell Registries, improving access to life-saving therapies across geographies.
At an institutional level, it will embed governance discipline, financial rigour and operating systems that enhance execution consistency, strengthen donor confidence and enable sustained capital mobilisation from CSR and institutional partners.
With access to SVP India’s network, expertise and structured mentorship, LifeBlood Council is positioned to evolve into a scalable platform capable of influencing policy, driving systemic change and delivering measurable health outcomes across India.
